Hello.
Today we’re sharing a wonderfully atmospheric project by our talented designer, Sylvia Galkowska, created using the Sherlock Holmes Collection.
Sylvia has transformed her journal page into a miniature Victorian crime scene, packed with clues and intriguing details. Maps covered in mysterious footprints, evidence cards, fingerprints, coded messages, poison labels, blood-stained papers and vintage images of Sherlock and Watson all overlap beautifully to create a rich, layered composition.
We especially love how Sylvia has combined so many different elements without losing the page's overall story. Everywhere you look, there is another little clue to discover! The muted reds, blues and aged paper tones work perfectly with the brick background, giving the whole project that wonderfully worn, vintage London atmosphere.
The Sherlock Holmes Backgrounds Collection was inspired by Victorian London and includes 25 pages filled with antique textures and designs created for cards, journals, scrapbooking and mixed-media projects. Relatively Thoughtful, Sylvia’s project is a fantastic example of just how much detail and storytelling you can create with it.
Hugs,
