Happy Anniversary!

Good morning and a very happy Sunday. Can you believe we are now into September, where is this year going??

Today I'm sharing an anniversary card that I made for my Mum and dad with the  Happy Birthday collection by Paula

I started by cutting my layers, this is a huge card so it almost took a full A4 length.
Yes I do know how to spell anniversary lol, I'm just trying to work out the spacing.
I've cut the longer work first then I can centre the shorter one above it. I've also made sure to leave a gap for the duplicated letters (phew!)
Here we have all the letters safely cut out, and just about straight.
I also cut out a full set again in really thick card so that they would stand out a little when I put them back into the card.
Of course I'm always going to try and sneak some stamping in somewhere.
There's also a cut-apart sheet for sentiments. Do you like my shabby bow? I'm really proud of this 'cos my teamies are the queens of shabby bows!
If it's not stitched it's not finished!
The bunting is also part of a cut apart sheet.
This wasn't a difficult card to make, but it took AGES. I think it was all the measuring, die cutting, and sticking. Also when it's quite a plain design it has to be just right doesn't it - there's nowhere for anything to hide. Also stamping and embossing 16 letters then losing and finding then losing them again takes time.
The collection can be found here in the store in both A4 papers and digital download formats

As always there is tons of new inspiration to be found on our social pages.
Relatively Thoughtful

Have a very happy weekend, and thanks so much for looking x

Step-by-step 3D Pop Up Star Card 'Here Comes Santa'

Happy Wednesday!
I hope you have a great day!

Today, Monika Graefling-Gladysiak has a photo tutorial for you using 'Here Comes Santa' collection designed by Paula Machado.

You will need:
'Here Comes Santa' collection, kraft card, scoring board, double sided tape and liquid glue, distress oxide inks: 'Walnut Stain' and  'Tea Dye', white card, ink blending tool, pencil, gems of your choice.

Step 1
Use a kraft card to cut six panels measuring 15cm x 15 cm. Then, score the panels at: 3,5cm, 7cm, 10,5 cm, 14cm. Adhere the ends of the panels to create cuboids.

Step 2
Use 'Walnut stain' Distress Oxide and apply the colour on the edges of your cuboids.

Step 3
Use the design papers from  'Here Comes Santa' collection and create small panels measuring 3cm by 14,5 cm. Distress the edges using scissors and 'Tea Dye' Distress Oxide.

Step 4
Adhere the small panels onto cuboids using double sided tape and liquid tape.

Step 5
Adhere the cuboids together only on the kraft panels, fold it flat. Then, you can open the card to see the star.

Step 6
Use a kraft card to create a star and bigger panel (square - you can use any dies from your stash). Use one of the design papers from  'Here Comes Santa' collection to create slightly smaller star. Distress the edges on the star.

Step 7
Create 2 panels using kraft card 2cm x 6 cm, score them at: 1cm, 2cm, 4cm, 5cm.
They will create small bridge cards to hold the star and the panel to write the message.

Step 8
Adhere the small bridge panels onto a point of the star using liquid glue and a star. On the opposite side adhere the panel to write the message.

Step 9
Your project is complete and ready to be presented on a shelf or your desk!

Happy crafting!
